Enjoy Machida with Local Guide Izumi/ローカルガイドいずみさんと楽しむ町田の街
This is my first visit in about a year.
It was difficult to stay for a long time this time.
I had the most delicious curry rice in Machida, which was recommended by @Izumi .

Inside an alley in a shopping street.
These shopping streets and alleys are disappearing from all over Japan.
There is also the aspect of disaster prevention, but they are not that popular these days.
But Machida is different.
Even in these alleys, there are many people passing by.
This restaurant is also popular and usually has a long line, but we were lucky to get in right away.
There are 6 seats, and a young man carefully prepares the curry.
Using ingredients from the neighborhood,
It takes 10 hours to fry onions,
10 hours to fry onions, 10 hours to prepare bouillon
The curry takes almost 5 days to prepare.

Department stores are in the doldrums, partly due to the recession and partly due to online shopping.
More than 30 years ago, department stores were places where people gathered.
There was even an amusement park on the rooftop.
Barbecue Price List But now there is not.
Barbecues are held in that empty space.
It is not so easy to barbecue in the city, but I thought it was an interesting idea.
Machida is a city visited by Japanese guiding stars.
約1年ぶりの訪問です。
今回は長時間の滞在は難しかったです。
@Izumi さんにおすすめいただいた町田で最も美味しいと言われるカレーライスを食べました。

商店街の路地の中。
こういう商店街も、路地も日本の至る所から消えています。
防災の面もあるのですが、最近はそこまで人気がないようです。
でも町田は違います。
こういう路地でも人通りが多いです。
こちらのお店も人気があり、普段は行列ができるそうですが、ラッキーなことにすぐに入れました。
席数は6、若い男性がカレーを丁寧に作ります。
近隣の食材を使い、
玉ねぎを炒めるのに10時間、
ブイヨンを仕込むのに10時間
更にカレー作りも丁寧に作るので5日近くかかるそうです。
とてもカレーは美味しいです！
ローカルガイドとしてはお店の良いところを明確に発信していくことが大事だと感じました。
東京など都会では百貨店の屋上でバーベキューという新しいビジネスが生まれています。

不況やオンラインショッピングの影響もあって、百貨店は低迷しています。
30年以上前、百貨店は人が集まるところでした。
屋上にも遊園地があったのです。
でも今はありません。
その空きスペースでバーベキュー。
都会でバーベキューなんてそう簡単にできませんが、面白い発想だと感じました。
