2023 - An Incredible Year!

Hello Fellow LGs,

With great pride and immense pleasure I am writing this post to highlight the bygones of the year 2023.

This year has been quite joyful and fulfiling. I found this community in the month of March 2023 and since then became the firm believer of Power of this Community.

When I joined this community (LG Connect) in March 2023 after being a Local Guide for six years, I was at LG Level 8.

In two months of joining this community on 26-May-2023, I have reached the Penultimate Level 9which came after six plus years of contributions to Google Maps.

Have celebrated 6 years with Google Map on 16-June-2023 Happy 6-year anniversary of being a Local Guide.

Soon after SEVEN MONTHS and TWENTY FOUR DAYS ever since reaching at Level 9, I have reached the Top Level 10 on 30-December-2023. And, got the Black Badge is the Beauty - LEVEL 10.

Another significant milestone of the year 2023 was getting into Circle of Thousands - 1000 Roads Added on 30-December-2023.

My Notable Highlights of the year 2023 as shared by Google.

My STAR photo remains the same The Big Budha in Bangkok as highlighted in the Leaderboard Level 10 Star Photo Views Leaderboard (January 2024).

My most Popular categories for Contributions were:

1. Food and drink
2. Shopping
3. Entertainment

My most Helpful review was for Flourmates Bakery & Cafe with 8 Votes.

My total contribution was 19430 including Photos, Reviews, Ratings, Places added, Helpful answers and a Fact Checker. However, I still feel that Google must also hoghlight the Roads added contribution which is also a significant one. Google might start adding this from year 2024, hope keeps us alive and is the way to succeed.

Seven years of dedication as Local Guides is not an easy path.
Some Local Guides loss their interest in contributing on Google Maps, some being banned because of Program Rules, but you are stilll standing here contributing on Google Maps.
I hope you will always continuing your contribution on Google Maps

Huge congrats to you @Kumaarsantosh . I’ve been at Level 8 for a long time, but you moved from 8 to 9 in two months, then from 9 to 10 in seven more months. That’s an amazing performance.

I got a similar email, and was surprised to see it’s been 9 years for me on this platform. Your “most popular categories” are almost the same as mine, except that you have Entertainment where I have Healthcare Services.

Actually I reached Local Guide Level 8 on 19-June-2021 and then I was continuously contributing with the steady pace with my limited knowledge.

In March 2023, I came to know about Local Guides Connect community and joined it. After joing this community and with the shared knowledge from you all I reached at Local Guide Level 9 on 06-May-23. So actually it took me almost 2 years*(10 days less than 2 years )*to reach at Level 9 from Level 8 wherein it came after 2 months of joining Local Guides Connect community.

Healthcare services is interesting area which has a great impact on the society.

Soon you will be at next level. Let’s sail it together.
