Hi @OlgaKlimchik ,
I am absolutely delighted with your post!!! Strochitsy and Dudutki are my favorite places where I can plunge into the Belarusian peasant life and feel something fabulous in these places, some energy and the presence of otherworldly forces, such as the brownie, the goblin, the cat Varhin. I really liked the photographs you took: magnificent landscapes and interiors!!! This post is a great addition to the #TeamBelarus series. :derelict_house: :cow: :pig_nose:

You have covered such a nice topic @OlgaKlimchik … The church buildings are looking really beautiful.

I can sense the divine environment outside - away from hustle-bustle of city life.

@JaneBurunina Спасибо большое.

@katydarhel :slightly_smiling_face: You are surely right. All buildings were surely brought here with all their otherworldly forces living there. I can’t imagine any brownie leaving his such beautiful and convenient home and staying somewhere without his house.

Brownies are well known residents of ancient buildings.

Today everyone has a chance to meet them not far from Minsk.

It’s interesting, are real local guides afraid of otherworldly forces? :ghost: :ghost: :ghost:

@Nyainurjanah Thank you. Trinity Church and bell tower are really nice, ecpessially when you look at them staying in the distant on the hill. But it’s condition is a worst of all.

Thank you so much @OlgaKlimchik for this very informative post on Ancient Wooden Churches of Belarus. They are a beautiful cultural heritage and I’m glad to read they are conserved and taken care of. I love the architecture of them that seems to vary quite a bit. With the wonderful pictures and links to places this really is a great read. Although I’ve have met several people from Belarus I have never been there but I hope to visit it sometime.

@OlgaKlimchik Great, very detailed post with lots of beautiful pictures! Congratulation! I was also thinking about the same topic some time ago as we have still many wooden churches in Poland, too. Like in Belarus, some of them are still “alive”.

I love to visit skansen -Openair museum, where not only churches, but also other old buildings are placed in one territory for tourists to explore the history and wooden architecture.

@AniaKiser Yes, museums-skansens are the interesting places. I will write about the whole museum also later. It would be great to compare two kinds of ancient architecture, ours and yours. Of course they have a lot in common, as Belarus was a part of Poland during long time, including the Uniatism period of the Churches from my post.
