My candid opinion or response is that Google hasn’t given us a particular special role to play to get involved as localguides. So getting involved is very voluntary and optional as usual.
There are tons of things you could do really if you want to participate more as a local guide.
- You can interact more here on connect by reading topics from fellow local guides and replying them
- You can give like comments on topics that are interesting and have good contents just to encourage fellow local guides
- You can create or join meet-up of local guides virtually and physically.
- You can join challenges/campaigns created by fellow local guides. Search around on connect. You’ll find them.
- You can also contribute to the maps in lots of ways. Have you ever added a road on Google maps? Lots of work to do in that area.
Just a few of these tips and hope this will help you get involved more.
