Thanks @MortenCopenhagen for showing me how to find them I found 510 hidden reviews mostly from the last year but some as old as 3 years old. This took the better part of 8 hours to go thru all the reviews. Most of the older ones had thousands of views and my highest review gone missing had over 19,000 views , it doesn’t make sense . Found 27 POIs that have closed, many due to the pandemic, in the process of removing those.
Thanks for the info, I tried to uncover the hidden reviews, but I failed. My three devices only show me one version.
I think the best thing for me is to ask someone else for the number of reviews. or maybe it’s best to let go of the past and move on.
Have a nice day
I see the following numbers under your profile:
You added 1243 reviews
Only 1227 are public.

PS Let it fly is certainly fine for now.
Amazing, many reviews that were previously hidden are now public.
This is great news.
Thanks for everything
Yes, @DENIT33
I too find that your hidden reviews problem is very small. It is hard to keep that many reviews public.
Cheers again
Morten
@MortenCopenhagen I agree with the comment by @StephenAbraham
I have 181 Reviews and have just been notified that 7 are hidden. It doesn’t appear to be my newest ones, and my contributions stretch back over a number of years. There’s just got to be an easier way of figuring out which 7 reviews and 2 photos suddenly got hidden retroactively. Thanks for your help anyway. Will take a closer look some time.
I’m sure reviews are checked regularly and not only when posted.
Sorry, but I’m not aware of an easier way to identify hidden the reviews. Finding hidden photos is even harder.
Expecting the number of hidden contributions to be zero is not realistic.
In France Google is testing a system where hidden reviews get a flag in our contribution list. From there 2 ways of appealing this are given. Also, notifications are sent to LGs.
Cheers
Morten
Thanks for your response @MortenCopenhagen
My expectations are of course based on my past reality, so this was a surprise after not seeing anything hidden previously.
Now that I’m aware, this adds another variable to my thought process as I add my contributions. Thank you.
google is shit
Hi @mika_nieh
May I suggest you use polite language here on Connect. Otherwise your access to this forum might be restricted.
Feel free to describe what you need help with. I see most of your reviews on Google Maps got hidden.
Thanks
Morten
Wow!! That’s quite a lot hidden @TerryPG
Makes a lot of sense what you did with removing the closed places.
我發布的新評論都會會被隱藏,上述的方法不是用,一定是地圖系統的問題
NO one can help ,this is poor system. I spended a lot of time , it cannot be fixed. Its waste my time during this two month
I just found out this post the other day and was mind blown because half of my reviews are hidden. Had some time to check on a few of them and here are my observations:
When seen on my own account, reviews with 1 to 6 views are 100% hidden from others. This could be used as a quick way to check on hidden posts.
I write reviews in Vietnamese and pretty sure my language is polite and neutral. I tried tweaking a few regional words with more common words though, and some post are revealed. There are still some hidden even after an edit, will check in another time and update.
I tried not editing any words but only rated the categories (food, service, atmosphere, etc.), select answers (dine in, take out, prices, etc.) then hit submit. Old posts can now be seen.
Still so many more reviews to check so maybe on another day.
this is bed system , I give up it, I won’t waste my time in this sucks system* it is disaster **terrible…donot trust this system
Thanks @MortenCopenhagen for this and the other LG posts. They have been very helpful. From now on I’ll periodically check to see if things are not getting posted. I did notice that if an error comes up at the end when I’m posting that says “try again” then it usually means it only posted as private unlisted.
Thanks, @corysakai
Normally, the “Try again”-error is related to bad internet connectivity. It can also be seen when trying to upload more than 20 photos with a review.
Please let me know if that could explain what you experienced.
Cheers
Morten
I don’t think either of those conditions would explain it. After the error it still did not seem to upload. I cancelled and then noticed it was uploaded, however, it was not public. I edited and changed some words around and deleted and changed some photos and then it eventually posted.
