Congratulations on hosting your first meetup, dear Sumedh @framesbysumedh, It was a great choice of museum and food joint
Here is my recap:
First of all, thank you for honoring my request to host the meetup.
I and Sumedh were the early birds
Sumedh arrived almost 45 minutes before time
Soon, other local guides arrived and we lined up for the tickets and queued up in the lobby for the next show at the museum
After some time, the signal turned green, and we rushed upstairs to the miniature railway arena. We were teleported into another worldβan entire city with a railway station and other stuffβall in miniature form.
All local guides young and old, enjoyed it a lot.
After that, we visited the souvenir shop and the workshop where they manufacture these handmade souvenirs.
I remember going to the Museum 20 years ago and I purchased a railway engine keychain as a souvenir.
Due to constant use, it has lost the boiler, driver cabin, and wheel.
I was happy that they were selling the same keychain after 20 years
We had a group photo outside the Joshi Miniature Railway Museum.
Then we had snacks and coffee at a local small business.
Food + Drinks + Badges and Stickers = Joy Unlimited
I presented to Sumedh a note of appreciation for hosting his first meetup:
Hereβs the note of appreciation to Sumedh Kakatkar:
hAll local guides were happy to exchange tips and tricks about Google Maps and Connet during over food.
More photo opportunities were awaiting Pune Google Maps Lovers
We Meetups
In between we supported local small businesses by having another round of tea:
Finally, we posed for a final round of group photos holding the INDIA LOCAL GUIDES toran.
Pune local guides are meeting again on Tuesday or Wednesday for the next meetup in PCMC, to be hosted by Durga.
