Agree @SP31 - having travelled to several cities in the US, a food street similar to the ones found is Japan and also in India called ‘Khau Galli’ are much needed in the US.
I think in Osaka, the limelight is Dotonbori which is larger and also additionally provides some entertainment and recreation in the form of the central canal.
Colorful and eye-catching captures I am in love with Japan since I read Ikigai and Kaizen. They are very grounded people and find purpose in everyday things. Simple living and profound thinking is what comes to mind when I think of Japanese people. And their etiquette and respect for others is so very commendable… Did you encounter some friendly Japanese during your walk in the market?
Wow, this place looks incredibly beautiful and authentic. I really loved the concept of food models; I always struggle to imagine how my dish will look when I order something new. I will definitely check if there are any professionals who can do this in Pune. It’s truly a fantastic business idea, especially since we don’t have anything like this in India. Thanks, @TusharSuradkar Sir for this wonderful post and for inspiring such a great business idea in my mind.
This street is highly illuminated and richly decorated in vibrant colors in the typical Japanese style.
So, using a basic camera on a cheap mobile phone also captured the shops in an impressive manner
The Japanese society is a highly evolved culture.
Not just rules on the street or office, they follow their etiquettes and manners to the bits.
I was not using data while roaming in Japan yet managed to reach every place, I wanted to go, simply by asking for directions which would give an idea how friendly and helpful the people are, especially those in uniform like station masters, security guards and endless common people who took every care and pain to make sure I got what I was requesting far.
A tip to survive in Japan would be to bow down to strangers every time you start a conversation and end it - then they will treat you like a king.
Agree @Velvel in that the place is less crowded - I think the other larger place Dotonbori steals the limelight and has much more food options and entertainment.
Absolutely, the dummy food is so appealing, like the photos shown in a MacDonalds or any other fast-food ad, they appear tempting
Same year, it was a pleasure meeting you and all CM team members whom we knew only virtually before.
The passport episode was a false alarm, in that I rushed to my hotel and found it lying under the bed but missed a nice lunch in that duration.
