@BoRaXiN72 What is it that you do not understand? Please clarify what you’re pointing out in the screenshot.

I am one of the biggest Google local guides as the screenshot proves it. So what I dont understand is what I should do to be in the list of leaderboards…Well I checked it again and I have just seen that I am in the list, too. Sorry my bad.
Thanks a lot

Hello @ajassimanwar

You registered for participation in September and were on both the September (see here) and October (see here) Leaderboards so you should also have been listed on the November Leaderboards however, on checking, it looks like there has been an error made in your #points, #photos and #photo views entries on the T100 System. I have now corrected these errors for you and so you should be listed on the Leaderboards when they are reposted in the next day or so.

Hello @tony_b @Kumaarsantosh and @Rednewt74 et al. After a restless night thinking about the strange data errors first mentioned here and subsequently in your comments, I’ve now worked out what caused the strange data shown on the first posted set of November points leaderboards.

In the first screenshot below, I’ve shown that part of the Level #10 board originally posted and showing @WebVisite @ajassimanwar @PaulAtherton and @syaubananas who @tony_b noted have points too low to be among those described as “knocking on the door”.

In the second screenshot below, I’ve shown my Excel spreadsheet used in this part of my workings. This screenshot shows the actual points (and in fact also the number of photos and photo views) for these Local Guides.

From these two screenshots, I’m sure that you Excel guns will see how I made this mistake :sob: There are just far too many steps involved in creating the Leaderboards and even with my very detailed checklist, mistakes can easily be made and this is why I repeatedly ask for your help in checking and finding these errors as soon as the Leaderboards are posted. I really appreciate those that do this as it helps me a lot.

OK so I’ve just reposted the corrected November points Leaderboards correcting everyone’s points value. But now of course some of the Local Guide levels are incorrect (based on the initial incorrect points value) and hence some Local Guides like @RaviSharma111, @MarkAuchincloss and @indahnuria will be shown on the wrong Leaderboard level :sob:

I can see this is a very complex process. Thanks for the corrections so far, Adam.

We look forward to seeing the full list of Leaderboards when you get all the kinks straightened out.

This is really a complex process. Hats off to you @AdamGT that every month you go through such detailed steps to produce LBs for us. Thank you.

That’s fine by me, I see I’m top of Leaderboard ! I forgive the glitch. Seriously we are very grateful @AdamGT and pleased that the monthly Leaderboards continue which keeps us all on our toes and motivated to compete and improve the Google Maps experience for all users. I’ve finally found some time to myself so if there’s any help you need with any tasks I can help out.

Thank you @AdamGT! We’re all getting used to the new way of doing things around here, but I’d venture a guess that nobody has faced as much of an uphill battle as you. We appreciate your persistence and dedication to the leaderboard!

@AdamGT . Kudos for the massive files that you must be editing constantly :champagne:. Probably an oversight somewhere, but I can’t find myself on the list. As of today, I have 233.293 points… A few days ago, I got less of course. Did I make a mistake ? Good luck. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you @tony_b @Kumaarsantosh @MarkAuchincloss @JustJake and @Kurt2day for your understanding.

Getting the Leaderboards up and running on this new platform has certainly been challenging and tougher than I expected. Some of the platform changes such as the changes in the structure of links (see for example the discussion here), changes in HTML and post formatting are subtle but have had a major impact. However, I’m confident that we’re getting there.

OK that said, hopefully now the Leaderboards have Local Guides with the right points and at the right Local Guide level. As a consequence of this, some Local Guides listed on the first posted boards may now have been replaced by others. Appreciate everyone checking this third round of the November Points Leaderboards.

Kurt you were there but as a consequence of the previous error (see discussion above), you were on the wrong board. You should be right now!

Thanks Mark for your offer of help.
