Thanks @PrasadVR. You, in fact everyone, will be pleased to hear that I had some time today to fix the earlier issues I had with the Million Video Views Club and the Average Views/Video leaderboards.

You will note that I decided to change the Million Video Views Club to the 10 Million Video Views Club and congratulate everyone who crossed over the 10 million video views threshold and especially to level 8 Local Guides @StefanKowalewski and @Mikeinthefalls, and level 9 Local Guides @Rednewt74, @snieckarz and @TiffanyStockstill who clearly demonstrate that you don’t need to be a level 10 Local Guide to shoot impactful video.

Appreciate everyone checking these new leaderboards for any errors or omissions.

I see the change from the Million to the 10 Million Video Views Club. That is why I’m not on the board.

You are right, there’s no connection between our Local Guides level and the views our contributions earn. Many times, our most valued contributions surprisingly don’t get the views we expect.

Nor am I in the Club @PrasadVR but it gives me a goal. Mind you, I do have a long way to go but I’m determined to join the Club.

@AdamGT - thanks for the shout out! I didn’t realize I had so many video views! I have Level 9 in my sights, and seeing stats like this certainly is a huge motivator!

Thanks for the shout out. I am pleasantly surprised how a popular place can be the lowest viewed videos but a place we might think is not very popular turns into a highly viewed item. A place I took video of less than a week ago already has 32000+ views.

Issues like this have puzzled me since my early days as a Local Guide and my first joining Connect @snieckarz. In fact, it was this very issue that led to the birth of the Leaderboards. My thinking was that this might help us gain a better understanding of the reasons why and help us learn what are the types of media that we should be contributing to the different places that we wish to review/showcase. You might like to read this post and for a slightly different slant but relevant to the issue you raise, jump in here but please do it sooner rather than later.
