Provide explanation why a place is a duplicate

I can't fix a map issue where someone has created a place for something that doesn't exist (it's actually another place that is already on the map) as my duplicate report gets denied.

If I could provide an explanation when reporting then this could be fixed. 

Seems a simple thing to allow.

It is unlikely that Google will implement your suggestion because it would be too useful/helpful for spammers. Fighting spam is for Google probably more important than keeping the volunteers happy. 

You will need to master the difficult skill of merging places.
