What on earth was I thinking when I asked the listeners of the podcast to submit audeio clips to celebrate the 5th anniversary??? Did I not realize the amount of work heading my way???
30 different listeners - local guides, Connect moderators, Google moderators and even Googlers - submitted 50 clips, so the sorting, processing and rearranging was quite the effort. But the result is there now, you an listen to it here or in your preferred podcast app. Thanks again for all those submitting clips, especially for all those wonderful compliments
And yes, the cake in the picture has 6 candles instead of 5, I know - AI image generators still seems to have a lot of trouble with that kind of things.
Not because my voice is included, but because it is a lot of fun listening to the voices of people we only know as a username here on Connect. Also listening to the different accents is a joy. I can strongly recommend new listeners to hear this episode.
Even a bunch of Googlers join in on praising Jan’s Podcast.
Thanks a lot @JanVanHaver for all your efforts. It is really my pleasure to be part of this amazing anniversary party with lots of great moments from good local guides.
Brilliant @JanVanHaver All the hard work of managing those 50 clips resulted in a great episode, thanks for letting us be part of it!
Did you imagine to celebrate a 5 years episode when you uploaded the first one?
Serioulsy, congratulations for creating this podcast and always coming up with really interesting episodes with updates about Maps and Local Guides Program!
Felicitaciones!
Terbaik semuanya. Tp sayangnya belum pernah berjumpa LG sahabat sahabat connet yg lain…saya amat berbesar hati jika ada waktu untuk beramah mesra saling tukar pandapst bersama yg lain tq…
Congratulations @JanVanHaver Editing ,sorting and fitting everything into to your allotted time must have been time consuming. I was honored to be part of this.
I agree with @MortenCopenhagen it was great to hear all the voices and I also agree with @Stephanie_OWL This is now one of my favorites as well, Congratulations
@JanVanHaver A great journey for Letsguide Podcast . 30 different listeners Combining in single podcast is really a great work!!.I am glad not becuase you have I included my voice, but because I really enjoyed the voice of others.
wonderful episode sir @JanVanHaver i listened & enjoyed the episode but in my opinion it is most of LG flow to recommend accessiblety implementation,no doubt accessibility is an important task but no-one talking about drinking water accessible in hilly Area & drinking water quality everywhere in the world specially in African nations water quality & green sustainability, even everyone faced the pandemic then no-one talking about green sustainability projects .
& I read many moderators’posts about Green sustainability but an important task is re-initiative to green sustainability.
& Thanks sir @JanVanHaver i participated in the Dopper 21 days BYOB challenge ( for water tep riffle the water bottle in 21 days habit challenge) & won.
& I really like Google maps David’s voice about AI & emoji uses in Google maps.
& I really really appreciate your hard work & thank you very much for giving me opportunity to Participation & appreciation.
I have to admit @Stephanie_OWL that I also from time to time record a clip several times (typically I record 1 paragraph or news topic at a time) but I 'm pretty sure it never took me 31 attempts (the max will be 5 or 6 I guess)
Congratulations @JanVanHaver , and thank you very much for opening the floodgates for us all to help celebrate LetsGuide. I can now check one thing off of my Local Guide bucket list .
To tell you the truth @MortenCopenhagen I was also quite surprised to hear some of the voices for names that we have grown quite accustomed with from conversations on Connect
Congratulations @JanVanHaver . That’s a huge continuity!
I’ve missed the preparation phase due to personal reasons but I’ll definitely listen to this festive episode as well as catch up with a few previous ones. Looking forward to hearing various Local Guides - that was a brilliant idea!
@LaloPadilla my only goal, when starting the podcast 5 years ago, was to make at least 10 episodes (because there are a lot of podcasts that have 3 or 4 episodes and then just stop), but I never expected to reach 50 (which will be the case later this year, as I already have the next few topics in my head).
