This place is a hidden delight for anyone from the south craving that down “home” cooking. Like Grandma and mama used to make.
Honestly, I’m super skeptical of “soul food” places in Minnesota (I know right), so it took some long-term convincing by a friend (a year or more, in fact) for me to try this place. I immediately noticed it wasn’t like the other so-called “southern cooking” places, and that was before I saw any food!
But, once I saw the food, got my plate, and started to eat, I knew this was a place I’d actually GO TO and eat. I’m more of a delivery guy. However, Mama Sheila’s has my attention now.
