Local Guides Connect and Google Maps are the platforms to Share-Learn-Share. Learning has many dimensions and one of the best ways to learn is to Learning by doing. And, that’s create the connect community unique and different from others. Everyone here is contributing and learning day by day with the change of dynamics in terms of change in process and technology. And, off course People change has a great impact on Process and Technology.

As promised here,

I am pleased to share that on 04-March-2025 I have completed adding 5000 approved roads on Google Maps. I am not a fast mover but believe in consistency and quality. The below data in chronological order explains as why I say I am not a fast mover. :grinning:

30-December-2023 1000+ My journey from 100 to 1000 Roads Addition took TWO MONTHS and TWENTY FOUR DAYS.
28-February-2025 4737 Entered TRAC 2025

Why have I shared this data following the chronology?

Well, I just wanted to share and encourage everyone here that you can do it using the power of "Perseverance and Passion. And, with that you need to have a set of like-minded people around you.

It took much longer to me to reach my first 3000 roads.
At that time the process of adding roads was a bit different, and I was alone, because only few Local Guides had the Road Editor available. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to create some tutorials, for the newcomers to learn thanks to the errors made by me. In this way the community was able to get some impressive result, and I believe that we are just beginning to add roads in an efficient way.
New Roaders are always welcome.

Absolutely not only the approval cycle was longer but also the approval rate was quite lower. It has evolved rather evolving with the time and experiences coming together.

Completely in agreement. This is very important for everyone to understand. It’s not a Marathon but it’s a way to help people by passing the baton (in this context adding road).
