An enchanting and very calm Temple inside a village. This village is away from the hustle and bustle of the rush in cities. Located in a valley between mountains, this Temple is in middle of the farm lands. This is also known as Sri Parasurameswara Temple.
The picture above is on the way to the Temple and below is the picture of the main entrance of the Temple.
Though small this is a beautiful Temple with Serene atmosphere. This is a very very ancient Temple. It is believed this is the first Siva Temple, since the Shivaling inside the Sanctum is revealed to be during the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC. This is also known as Manushyaling. This Temple has been under the research of Archeological Survey of India. The below is the picture of the board displayed in the Temple by the Archeological Survey of India
The architectural element is very different from other Temples. The Sun rays will fall on the main deity in the month of June. The nearby river is Swarnamuki River. It is also believed that once in 6 years the water from the famous Sri Kalahasti Temple flows into this small Temple through a hole inside the Temple. The Temple has its own garden and is well maintained.
When I visited this Temple I felt a sense of calmness and peace throughout. I loved this place very much. This is my review in Google Maps about the Temple. A must to visit place, if you like architectural splendor.
The nearby railway station to this Temple is Renigunta Railway station. The nearest airport is Thirupathi airport.
Will back with my another travel post.
