Werner and Marie have created a true paradise in Drake Bay. The log is only accessible on foot. You have to go up the mountain about 10 minutes before you get to see the great Cabinas. The view is breathtaking. Howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, toucans and macaws can be seen here. You also have a great view of the tropical rainforest.
The cabinas are very well equipped and very clean. Werner also cooks for his guests and the atmosphere is very familiar. Marie knows how to conjure dreamlike desserts.
The Lodges owns a small sandy beach, where you can usually swim alone undisturbed. The small town of Drake can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes. In the other direction, you can hike to Rio Claro and swim there.
