Appreciating Plants and Trees Long After They Have Lived Their Life

@TravellerG brought to notice that April 13th was celebrated as International Plant Appreciation Day.

Since this day is dedicated to recognising the importance of plants, their diverse benefits, and their vital role in maintaining our Mother Earth’s ecosystems, I decided to accept the challenge and share a place where people have traveled that extra mile to show their dedication and affection towards trees.

“Whether it’s a towering tree, a delicate flower, or a humble houseplant, on this day we remember how vital plants are to our survival and well-being”, says TG.

This reminded me of the visit to Lalbaug Botanical Garden last month during the meetup in Bengaluru. The local gardener told us about some impressive trees that are long gone.

There were magnificent trees like Oak, Deodar, and such rare trees that grew tall and wide. Eventually they died, but they wanted to keep them alive - and not in memories, but right there - in front of their eyes.

So they very intelligently carved the trunks into amazing shapes like reptiles.

Another impressive artificial creation from the tree trunk was a human face that was meditating

Yet another was a mixed representation of a lady and her child.

Finally, another one was a mixed 3D collage of various animals like buffalo, :ox: and a crocodile :crocodile:

Not just these figures and the idea are fascinating, it shows how great a length we can go to take care and show our love for trees, long after they have lived their lives.
