Last week, we Enugu Local Guides decided to do something amazing which has been long overdue due to Covid 19 lockdown and restrictions. Now everything is returning to normalcy and citizens are getting inoculated. We decided to go and have a chill at Nike Lake resort , which is one of the very best hotels in Enugu having a lakeside

This resort is a very nice place for group. It has ambient temperatures, very spacious and a perfect place for group meetings. The design and topography make the building construction magnificent.

The place is so picturesque with a lot of beautiful Vista. Though the lake is crocodile :crocodile: infested, we didn’t see any as we cruised around the lake. Probably the noise from the speed boat scared them to the lakeside. We saw locals fishing in the lake. It was a really nice meetup for us Enugu Local Guides, though it was impromptu, few showed up.

It was amazing to see each other again after months of Lockdown spoiled all we had planned for our Local Guides community in Enugu.

After the boat cruise which lasted up to an hour, we went straight to the restort to grab something to eat.

We are planning so much fun activities this year as things are getting back to normal.

A very remarkable and nice physical meetup. I am sorry I wasn’t there, it’s a great change from virtual meetups. Maybe I’ll be there for the next one,keep your fingers crossed.

I like the pictures. They are quite clear.

Maybe it’s a good thing the crocodiles were not there :sweat_smile: , if they were maybe we will not get the recap as we have now!!!

please how much does the cruise cost and what are other activities available at the Nile resort incase some of us plan a private or even another meetup at the same venue?

We truly wanted to see crocs. But anyways it was fun seeing much activities on the lake done by fishermen.

The boat cruise cost #1500 per head i.e approx. $4 per person. It is such a memorable experience for all of us.

This place is such a nice place.

Whenever you come to Enugu and you really want to visit this place do let me know.

However, lodging is really expensive but using the resort and its facilities is somewhat considerate.

@Austinelewex It’s great we haven’t crocodiles in our lakes and rivers, so we haven’t any risk to be eaten :wink: . I saw them only in zoo.
