Celebrate International Espresso Day With Me

Hy Local Guides,

Today is celebrated as National Espresso Day (November 23rd). As you may ask, why International in cover photo? Now Espresso Day is celebrated worldwide but we still call it National. For this matter, the post will be referred to as International Espresso Day.

Even though I am a coffee person, I never had an espresso drink until I got invited to Google Office at Bangalore for Crowdsource Contributors Convention with @Shrut19 (may be around 2022 or 2023). There I had Espresso with Almond milk (can say it’s Cappuccino but without foam). This day is always memorable because of that.

Types of Espresso Drink (famous):

  • Espresso Shots - finely grounded Coffee beans extracted by hot water through pressure.
  • Ristretto - more finer coffee grounds are used which have more concentrated coffee flavour.
  • Doppio - it has twice the amount of coffee grounds as compared to espresso Shots.
  • Cappuccino - has 1/3rd espresso, 1/3rd steamed milk and topped with foam.
  • Caffe’ Latte - equal parts brewed espresso and steamed milk. Also topped with foam.
  • Mocha - espresso with milk and Chocolate and topped with syrup as caramel and peppermint.
  • Americano - A single/double shot of espresso with hot water.

There are 21 types of espresso drinks but these are the famous one’s around the water.

How you can find shops that serves espresso near you

Type in “espresso near me/location you want to search”

Results you will be getting are the shops which have espresso in its menu or someone reviewed the shop with espresso word in it.

You can search like this with any food/dish.

This chocolate Mocha is from Beatles Cafe & Grill House.

Comment down your favourite espresso drink and share your thoughts and views.

Espresso triple shot, café Latte or Hazelnut frappé from Barista, Noida. Also at Nescafe gurugram. I am also a coffee lover. So whenever I crave coffee i just ask Google to find me a coffee shop near me. Happy International Espresso Day.

Wow a tripe shot, that’s too much for me and Hazelnut Frappè is so wonderful. You know what’s difference between a chai and a coffee. However the emotion is, we take Chai/Tea but coffee is for the calm moment. It’s like Coffee is a younger sister of Chai/Tea :coffee:.

Hay @Rahul001 I appreciate the tag, and I really enjoyed the coffee, especially Kerala Styal filter coffee with a small steel kettle and glass. However, these days, I prefer making my own Colombian coffee at home.

I believe a good espresso can refresh and reset the mind. Though, I’m not particularly fond of this flavor of coffee.

Thank you @ShailendraOjha for your comment. I think small steel glass was originated in Tamil Nadu I think. So how you make Colombian style coffee?

Thank you @mrinmoiHossain for your valuable comments. Espresso can make our day better. It can get a while to get used to the flavour sometimes.

@Rahul001 Tamil Nadu is a part of southern India as well. Though they may have Tamil roots, I enjoyed the service that Trivandrum coffee shops offered.& “Colambia coffee” refers to coffee that was produced in Colombia.
