Celebrate International LEGO Day With Me

Hy Local Guides,

Today is celebrated as International LEGO Day (January 28th). Lego is a building block where we can build designed images into a model using blocks/lego pieces. Most of you have come across lego pieces/blocks in childhood. There are two types of lego sets : for education and for playing.

A big lego set can be seen in Eve’s Coffee which was built with probably around 2000 lego pieces!

Lego sets can be seen at display and for selling at Playfolio.

Do you know you can find Lego through Google Maps!

Search “lego near me” phrase in Google Maps search bar. Phrase also works on most products like toys, beauty products… etc.( if the products are updated by the Buisnesses or reviewed by a Local guide).

Through review and business itself, we can find whether lego or a product can be purchased!

Post related to Lego:

Share any lego set/sculptures you see in your area. It can be inside a lego store or a cafe!

Hi @Rahul001 , thanks for highlighting my post
I’m not a fan of lego, but I really amazed with this masterpiece and those who can build this various blocks into different kind of shapes. That’s why, I’m not a lego builder, just a person who admire it.

I would like to share a picture of a Google sign in Google Office NYC that was made with lego. I visited this Google office in 2023. The sign is located in one of the pantry’s corner.

Hey mate @PaulPavlinovich , this post suits you a lot!

Thank you @Velvel for your valuable response and comment! I am not that much a fan of lego but I used to have lego building sets when I was a kid. More over there’s a community over here focus on collecting rare lego pieces. They even conducts events to show how to build certain lego sets to the public. Also thanks for sharing Google lego logo photo in this day!

I loved Lego a lot when I was in junior school @Rahul001
Then I joined mechanical engineering.
But grown-ups playing Lego is a bit ticklish to me.
Anyway, I look at it as their hobby and move on.
Little doubt there is a Lego day celebrated globally.

Me and my friend used to have a taj mahal and star wars which was bit complicated. We used to finish it and remade it everytime! What kind you used to have @Velvel ?

Thank you for your valuable comment @TusharSuradkar .

There is no age for getting into lego. It was indeed playing but some lego set is so complicated like having gear systems and motors.

As I am also a mechanical engineer, I love rearrange complicated parts and make them work!

I also doesn’t known about this until my friend who I used to share lego with told me about this day! Google used to celebrate National Lego day in this month!

I’ve never heard of International Lego Day @Rahul001 and I am an AFOL in a lego community (they’re called LUGs) and attend our annual ANE (Adult Networking Event) called Brickvention. I was there last week helping exhibit two large lego model railways.

Thanks for the ping @Velvel

Thank you @PaulPavlinovich for your valuable comment. As I also doesn’t know international day but known national day celebrated in USA. I think it’s might be difficult for each countries to have different days to conduct or arrange lego events. So I think lego day might be converted to international. Also yesterday was lego build day!

@Rahul001 I am not a fan of Lego…but I like watching some build those sets … It’s interesting… I don’t remember seeing that large logo set on eve’s coffee house during our last meetup… maybe I missed it …but it looks cool
