In my community, it’s LGBTQ+ Business Week (December 2nd-8th) where we help business owners from that spectrum. LGBTQ+ business week is a week celebration where we help queer-owned small businesses. This week is celebrated on the first week of December every year.
What we do as a LGBTQ+ community!
- Help new businesses to start.
- Creating a platform for finding jobs for people from the spectrum.
- Conducting events so that business owners and job seekers get safe space and meet each other.
- Promoting LGBTQ+ owners to start their businesses.

How can we as a local guide community help this week?
- Edit new local LGBTQ+ friendly businesses to map.
- If you know a business is LGBTQ+ friendly but not listed as an attribute, please talk with the owner/representative of that business to share them the information on LGBTQ+ friendly features on Maps.
- Upload photos and various important details of the businesses to Maps.
These are steps I do, when I visit a LGBTQ+ friendly businesses.
