Chota Kailash Shiv Temple, Bhimtal,Nainital - Best Place For Trekking Near By Haldwani, Bhimtal, Nainital

You will fall in love with this place. When you come to this place, it is very wonderful place. I liked this point the most. When we reached the place and we saw the view of the temple and the surrounding from this peak.
Very amazing place. You can come 100 percent.

Tample History and my experience…
There is a belief about Chhota Kailash that Lord Mahadev once came here in Satyuga. Lord Shiva and Parvati rested on this hill during their journey to the Himalayas. Since Mahadev used to keep dhuni at this place, since then unbroken dhuni is being burnt here. It is believed that by reaching here and worshiping the Shivling, the wishes of the devotees are surely fulfilled. Devotees offer bells here on fulfillment of vows.

Shiv Mandir Chhota Kailash is situated on top of a hill in Bhimtal block of Nainital district. To reach here, you have to reach Pinaro village via Amritpur, Bhorsa by road from Haldwani. After a steep climb of 3-4 km from Pinar village you reach the top of the hill where there is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva.

The way to reach here is also very peaceful and beautiful. After crossing the bridge built at the confluence of Pushpa Bhadra and Gagranchal river in Rani Bagh, the path starts running along the mountain. After walking a little further, the road going from Amritpur towards Bhimtal leaves this road. From here the Gargi river runs along this small road for some distance. After reaching the middle of Amritpur village, Pinar is reached by taking the deserted hill road going on the left side.

The top of the mountain on which the Chhota Kailash temple is built is the highest peak in the surrounding mountains. After some time of walking from Pinar, a panoramic view of the mountain ranges is visible from this path. The beautiful valleys of Kailasa and Gargi river are also continuously visible. The way is so charming that you forget the tiredness of the steep climb.

The form of the temple which is visible today is 20 years old. Before that Shivling was sitting here under the open sky. There are three priests in the temple who come here only on special occasions. In the rest of the time, only Karnataka Baba takes care and maintains this temple.
Lord Shiva…
