Banana leaf rice is an Indian food which originates from South India but this dish is also popular in Malaysia. This dish will make your stomach be bloated (that’s what happened to me). It is served on a clean washed banana leaf, served with white rice or biryani. There are mainly vegetarian dishes such as potatoes and vegetarian curry and there are only four dishes served. You can also order Fried Chicken, Fried fish and curry mutton if you want it. Dishes and rice can be refilled unlimitedly which that’s the best thing personally that is why you will be very full, trust me. The price range of this dish is from 10 to 12 ringgit Malaysia. So what are you waiting for? Come savor some delicious and seasoning banana leaf rice at the heart of Kuala Lumpur banana leaf rice, everybody!
Hi @Jerry_L :
Thanks for sharing this with us! This looks really delicious.
A number of years ago, I was visiting Singapore. My friends took me to Little India and we were also having lunch on a banana leaf. There were different curries to choose from. It was quite the experience and very delicious. I’d love to try it out in Malaysia one day! Here’s my photo from over 10 years ago!
