#Explore books and coffee Challenge- Kitab Khana

Today I am going to share one of the best bookstore with a cafe from my city called kitab khana

Kitab khana is located in south Mumbai part of India. It’s literally home for book lovers. It’s was founded in 2010 located in 150 years old building in fort built during British ruling India.

The book store has a huge collection of world’s literature, classics and regional Indian literature in many languages including Hindi ,Gujarati,Marathi and Urdu.

In 2020 the bookstore got caught with massive fire and 45000 books were destroyed. Hats off to owner who re- created this book store again.

In 2021 it was also nominated for brilliant bookshop in the world by the financial Times.

The bookshop also has a beautiful small cafe called Subko. So one can enjoy the book reading with the sip of coffee. The bookstore is huge its a 2 storey store and has ample of place to fill more than 100 people at a time.

They have kept different division for sign books, kids section, Marvel’s comics etc. They have also installed cushion chairs and wooden benches for the readers.

Entry to the kitab Khanna is completely free you can read books and decide if you really like to buy it. Staff is generous and ready to help if you can’t find your book.

Beautyful library,book-shop,and cafeteria @Pratik_89 .I want to answer your question this way:Some years ago I went to Madrid and one night we went to a VIP’s to have dinner and coffe.It is also a book-shop and a music shop.But nothing to do with that south Mumbay old beautyful building.

You @Pratik_89 can still see that place on Google Maps:VIPS ,Gran Via street,Madrid,Spain.I had dinner there more than 20 years ago with one lady who was working in rhe Telefonica company headquarters,in that street other side…Now no cassettes,no vinyls,no CDs, it is a cafe,restaurante and magazines shop.But amazing the same.

@Pratik_89 بہت اچھا لگا دیکھ کر کتاب خانہ۔ جب سے انٹرنیٹ اور موبائل میں جدت آئی ہے کتابیں پڑھنا بہت کم ہو گئی ہیں اور کتاب خانے بھی۔ ہمارا لڑکپن بہت اچھا تھا کتابوں کے ساتھ مشغول رہتے تھے۔ آج کل تو لڑکے لڑکیاں موبائل میں فضول لگے رہتے ہیں اکثریت ۔
