Hello everyone,
Yesterday (18-01-2025) I went to Nirmal for Support Small Businesses by adding them to the maps. First of all I really thankful to the Senior Local Guides who are always encouraging us for adding small businesses.
I have planned for adding at least minimum 10 places to the maps. But it’s was too late when I went and I have spent minimum 15-20 minutes at a place. There is no enough time to explore more and disappointed I just added 3 new places.
1. I first visited a Mobile repair shop the main reason to visit this I have inspired after seeing this Post by @Kumaarsantosh. This places was already added in Maps from before Without a Category. I have added a category “Hardware Store” and also added Opening Closing Hour’s. By their permission taken 2 photos. 1 Sign board photo & 2 Shop photo. Also I asked the business owner to create Google Business Profile but he said no need don’t link anything newly leave it.
The 2nd photo added now and it was featured in 2 minutes.
2. Second I have visited a Photo Frame shop when I went there business owner is not available and there was a staff member I asked him for adding the location in Google Maps but he said I don’t know owner is not came today come on Monday. I called the owner and explained. Hello asked how much charges will be there, just i replied don’t worry no charges will be there for this it’s was totally free. I asked the owner when you will available here I will help you to create Google Business Profile. He said he will there on Monday. I said I will come whenever I am free. He given permission for adding the place and taking photos. In this shop frames are available and he can’t have a printer he send the photos to others and send the staff member to bring that print. After the print done he start doing the frame work.

3 Thirdly I have visited a birthday Decoration Shop. When I went here owner is not available there a staff member. He doesn’t know language Telugu because he was from Rajasthan and working here. I explained him in Hindi by showing the maps. He understand and said owner is not available I taken the owner number called him and explained. He said we will change the shop name in few months I said we can change the shop name anytime. I said them contact me when any changes is done. The staff member was treated me well like given chair to seat and given water. I asked him what was available here and he showed few items, talked friendly to me.

4. I have visited a Tea Shop. The business owner first of all giving water to the customer’s. In many tea shops no one offer water or there available water bottles and we need to purchase that. But here he was giving water to the customer’s we all have a habit that drinking water before the tea. I have started talking did you know about Google maps. He said No. I explained what is there in maps your business will be seen by many customers if they like they will visit and it’s very helpful to the people when they need also very easy to find the tea shops. He accepted to add the location and for taking photos. I have asked him why there’s no customers now he said due to schools & college’s are closed in the evening time they only visit mostly. I have tried to Create Google Business Profile but i haven’t their time I need to go. I stopped at at the video verification and I said him I will definitely come one day when I will free. He said to add a another place that’s own by his brother but i didn’t know the address properly and not have time to visit. This business owner was very innocent he even don’t know about maps until I explain.

My Observation At The Places :
- At the mobile shop wheelchair can be accessible because that shop was road side and ground floor.
- At the Photo Frames shop wheelchair not accessible due to the shop was located at 1st floor and there is only steps available.
- At the Birthday Decoration shop wheelchair will be not accessible due to steps at the entry.
- At tea shop also wheelchair not accessible due to steps at the entry. But here outside sitting available means this shop is road side. Adjustable
