I enjoy watching the flowers!

I can imagine what a perfect smell they have!

I suppose you had a nice trip there.

When I watch video about this nice island I was very warried about plants,trees,animals during volcanic eruption on Hawaii.

It was very sad to watch this.

I think now the situation is better.

@KarenVChin lovable article and photos are like a visual treat with informative descriptions… How did you get all this science based & other general information about these plants? Maybe you have studied botany as a subject…:four_leaf_clover::leaves::herb::cactus::palm_tree::fallen_leaf::blush: I have never been to Hawaii. I love taking pictures of plants. But am I right in feeling that phone cameras are a mere compromise for such photography and one can only take satisfying results with a DSLR…:hear_no_evil:?

I love taking photos of flowers where ever I visit. I haven’t yet made it to the Islands, but I’ve found pretty flowers from the Downtown area of Los Angeles, all the way to Kansas City, Missouri.

I use my iPhone 8 to take photos, and a lot of them were taken with iPhone 6. Sure I could get better depth of field with a DSLR, but I’ve become fairly proficient at getting good results with my phone camera.

Thanks for the share Karen. Great shots of these flowers. I love seeing flowers from tropical islands. My name comes from one so it immediately lead me to be interested in your post. I like the additional info you provided about Hawaii nice touch. You are correct that last photo could never get old seeing the land and water daily sure does look like paradise at your doorstep. Mahalo from the mainland in Phoenix,Az. :O)

@SP31 , thanks for being a Google Geek and sharing Google Lens. I do remember that this Google product exist, but didn’t know the name or how it worked.

I can tell you Google Lens is correct 1 out of 3. The last two flowers Google Lens suggests are not the flowers. You will see once you fly over to Hawaii.

I can tell you Hawaii is nowhere as hot or humid as Florida (July - September). You would find Hawaii to be refreshing and magical.
