Lunch & Connect at DELHIWALE on 17th March, Sunday’24
Google Maps enthusiasts Local Guides from Pune and Mumbai gathered for a lunch meet-up at DELHIWALE in Viman Nagar, hosted by Hinal Lad, this past Sunday, March 17th.
A vibrant group of 15 Pune and Mumbai Local Guides enjoyed a lunch meet-up at a restaurant, fostering connections and sharing valuable knowledge. Many attended the meet-up for the first time while some faces were quite familiar to the last meet-up.
The Local Guides lunch got a fun start!
To add some extra fun to the lunch, I greeted everyone with a bundle of cool foodie stickers for their food photography adventures, along with some informative bookmarks/tags related to Pune Guides in general.
Building on the Fun Atmosphere:
After welcoming everyone and distributing the fun foodie stickers and informative bookmarks/tags, the lunch hour had already snuck up on us! We decided to treat everyone to a feast at DELHIWALE. Local Guides buzzed with excitement, eager to capture the deliciousness with their phones, now armed with the awesome food stickers.
Highlighting DELHIWALE’s Delicacies:
The star of the show was undoubtedly their Chur-Chur Naan Thali – unanimously declared the best in Pune. There was also a delightful selection of chaats and couldn’t resist indulging in their famed chimney cones.
Showcasing Food Photography Enthusiasm:
As the mouth-watering spread arrived, our tables transformed into a vibrant display of food photography. Local Guides eagerly put their new food stickers to use, capturing creative and engaging shots of DELHIWALE’s culinary delights.
Mapping Accessibility: One Guide, One Step at a Time:
During our visit to DELHIWALE for the Local Guides meet-up, accessibility emerged as an area for improvement. Stairs were present at the entrance and for access to the first floor, where some of the seating and restrooms were located. This unfortunately limits accessibility for individuals with mobility limitations.
Highlighting Positive Impact:
Designing the stickers for the meet-up was an absolute joy! One of them featured a customised take on DELHIWALE’s chaat stall. The owner was so impressed, they actually requested to keep the sticker on display at the restaurant! It was a fantastic way to add a personal touch and connect with the local business.
As our delicious lunch at DELHIWALE came to a close, it was time to say our goodbyes. The afternoon was filled with insightful discussions, friendly connections, and of course, capturing the culinary delights through food photography.
