From where I fly in Shiprock, New Mexico

Flying over Shiprock, a Volcanic Peak Mountain, was beyond exceptional. This thing stands about 1,500 ft tall and has some of the sharpest edges due to arid wind blow.

Google Navigation Alert: Enter this amazingly stunning site located between Indian Service Rte 13 and Indian Service Road Rte 5010 (dirt road). Note there is a place also called Shiprock in New Mexico. Don’t enter the keyword Shiprock NM to navigate. Instead, Google Map this exact location to take you to the stop: https://goo.gl/maps/MbHLsocMeGCZ96bP6 You will need a big car like SUV, probably 4X4 to go through the dirt road

Photo Location and Duration: Due to the site access, you will see a stunning sunrise instead of sunset, if you are OCD about the golden hour. A drone will be very hand to cover both sunset and sunrise since you will be able to capture all 360. I was fortunate to stay there for a while to do some stunning Astrophotography with the moon shining on the mountain. If in case you need to experience this barren land, show up here during late-night like 2-3am ( also depending upon your Milkyway forecast) in the morning and stay until the sunrise.

Thank you! It is my first post here. While creating the post, the previews were off from what I actually published. Doing it back an forth might have made the boys think of spam posts.
