Two years ago I went to Cancún.
I went to different places, the farest place I went from my hotel was Chichen Itza.
I booked a tour, a day/night tour, the trip started 12 pm ,a van arrived to our hotel and went to Yucatan, another state in Mexico, we arrived at 3 pm to a restaurant but they didnt have the food ready, it was suposed to be ready when we arrived because we didnt had a lot of time for eating. We ate really fast and get on the van again, straight to Chichen Itza.
We arrived like 6 pm and the guide gave us a tour in the place , she told us about the history and even suggested some good places for taking photos.
Then we went to the place Pok ta Pok (Maaya ball game) was played. A really cool thing of that place was the echo effect when the sound bounced on the walls.On the entrance of the pok ta pok I looked back an I tooked a picture of a Stone jaguar and on the background the pyramid.
Later Everyone had to go out because they were going to prepare everything for the night tour and the video mapping over the pyramid.When it was night they let in all the people that bought a ticket for the night tour, There were a lot of guides giving the tour in spanish and they gave an audio guide for non-spanish speakers. During the tour I took another photo from the same spot.
Also another cool thing is that if you clap in front of the pyramid the echo will sound as a Quetzal.
And the last part was the video mapping, it showed the story of Chichen Itza and some really cool facts about its construction.

En mi caso @LaloPadilla , tambien rente una furgoneta con un guía experimentado que nos llevó por varios sitios históricos, entre ellos Chichen Itzá, me pareció fuera de serie, un sitio increíble por lo impresionante de la pirámide, el observatorio y por supuesto la cancha de juego de pelota. No tuve oportunidad en ese momento de hacer el recorrido nocturno, supongo que en otro viaje a Mexico , programe una visita nocturna creo que la vision es diferente teniendo en lo alto el manto de estrellas del hemisferio norte.

Es de lugares que son visita obligada si visitas México, yo fui hace 2 años y fui 2 veces, una en la mañana y otra con el tour desde el hotel ,que era el recorrido nocturno y es impresionante el uso de la astronomía para lograr la exactitud con la que orientaron la pirámide para que se vea el descenso de la serpiente en el equinoccio de primavera. Y en la noche ver el video mapping bajo las estrellas es algo único.
Hola @LaloPadilla , cuando visite Chichén Itzá , fue en un Tours que realizamos desde el DF y pasábamos por varios sitios y terminábamos en otros y la pasada por allí fue a la tarde , quedará para una próxima visita a Mexico, quizás 2023
Si es verdad fue un gran viaje @LaloPadilla, recuerdo que salimos muy temprano desde el hotel en la mañana, el destino era Merida, el guía nos hacia el tours y de paso el transporte. Hoy lo realizaría de nuevo, ya que escucharlo hablar era todo un placer, la historia y algunas anécdotas de Mexico fue muy bueno, cuando llegamos a la noche a Merida estábamos muy cansados pero eso no importó para salir y comer una rica comida Mexicana.
@FaridTDF Un buen guía puede hacer que un viaje largo sea muy ameno y que mejor que ir aprendiendo en el camino. En las fotos se ve que aprovechaste para conocer a fondo todo, Pirámide, cenote, museo y artesanías ¡super bien!.
Espero que hayas tenido la oportunidad de comer un buen taco de Cochinita Pibil, ya se me antojó jajaja
, quedará para una próxima visita a Mexico, quizás 2023
