I applied for participation in a meeting of local guides in California three times. Three times did not pass the selection. So this is no longer an accident, but a pattern. But I would really like to see the Google headquarters in Mountain View. This means that I should not wait for the next year, you need to try to find other opportunities. At the end of September, I am planning a cruise from Vancouver to Tokyo.
Which means that before the cruise, I can stop in San José on the way. Well, this, of course, is not quite on the way, but since I’ll still fly around the ocean, why not? :))
So I decided to ask a question about whether there are excursions at Google headquarters? And if so, how can I get it? I saw videos on YouTube, that people were there, although they do not work in Google. Or is this feature available only to journalists?
Hi @Victoria_v , Google offices are not open to the public. The best way to visit Google offices is to a conference or other meeting in which it’s open to registrants. Wish you a safe trip and please share with us your experience afterwards
@SebaasC , thanks for the responsiveness and attention to my question.
Unfortunately, this method does not suit me. Too much very worthy candidates are applying. I have nothing unusual to attract attention. And I myself understand that my English is too poor to fully participate in a mass event. I have to look for another way.
Hi, @markcastillo ! It is very sad that there are no public tours. It is a little insulting specially fly to the USA on the way to Canada and see Google’s headquarters just outside. After all, the most interesting thing happens inside. But the links that you posted in the subject are very interesting. Perhaps there is a chance to try to meet with someone from the staff and ask to come in as a guest.
Very interesting was the information about Google Visitor Center “Beta”. Perhaps, I still think about visiting this place at the end of September of this year.
@markcastillo , thank you, the information was very interesting and helpful.
@Ivi_Ge , thank you for wishing you a successful trip. Of course, I will talk about how it will pass. Unfortunately, my main specialty is not suitable for Google. I do not think that I will be able to find a suitable conference. With a hobby is also not very successful.
Cruise from Vancouver and plane tickets purchased. Before the cruise on September 26 in the evening I fly from Los Angeles to San Jose for two days. I hope I can see something interesting in Mountain View.
