Hello guys,
Recently using navigation I got trapped in a narrow road, instant of highways Google map is currently so suggesting narrow roads.
I tried turning off fuel efficient road option, sometimes still it’s suggesting pocket roads or narrow roads.
Is there any way to avoid narrow roads?
Can someone please help me with this
I don’t know, if there is a ways to avoid that during navigation. We had a similar situation to access a B&B where we stay often. The shortest access from the main road is not usable for normal cars or even vans. It took my more than a year to edit the street and declare it for “hiking and biking” (in reality it is only used for agriculture vehicles).
Having fixed that for Google Maps, there are still drivers using different navigation systems getting stuck

In fact this is one of the issues already reported by many. Several roads are not suitable for trucks or vans.
I know @Denise_Barlock is working on that issue too.
The problem is even more visible in places mapped with Road Mapper, like India, because the identification of the typo of road is even less accurate, and can end in a big trouble for the users.
This is also the most important reason why, with the release of the editor for desktop, I reduced a lot my contributions in Road Mapper.
Reporting the road is actually the only option, as mentioned by @WilfriedB

As you suggested I believe google map doesn’t understand the difference between highway and a narrow road.
This is a big issue and many users are facing it, I recommend to report this to google to create a hot fix.
Also how can I use Road Mapper to suggest some edits?
I didn’t use Road Mapper, but Report a Data Problem → Add or edit a road, @shinutrk
Road Mapper cannot help you to fix roads , @shinutrk, and actually is also not accepting new subscribers.
To edit a road use Google Maps.
