I want to report these images, as they are very poor quality and do not represent the actual location. However, whenever I try to report them, a 404 error is returned.

Hi @thnghh
Thanks for reporting this. Would you kindly also share the link to these images or explain where they can be found?
It looks like some real estate agent is not aware that places for sale and private homes should not be on Google Maps.
Cheers
Morten
Absolutely, they can be found at [LINKS REDACTED]
Thanks @thnghh
It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
I can confirm your observations. I also get this error message when trying to Report a problem:
404. That’s an error.
The requested URL /cbk?output=report&ugc=1&cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&hl=da&gl=dk was not found on this server. That’s all we know.
To me it looks like the images might have been flagged before and are in the process of being removed. But I’m just guessing here.
Let me tag @PaulPavlinovich for you. He might have a great solution before we tag a Google Moderator who will be back only after Easter.
All the best
Morten
This guy VINMAS RealEstate has uploaded only 13 photos back in December of 2017. And nothing since then. And none of these 360 shots were posted to an existing place on Goggle Maps. So it could be he was just testing.
@PaulPavlinovich , would it be fair to report the entire profile?
Cheers
Morten
@MortenCopenhagen I looked at his profile and it’s showing 13 contributions, but the number of images is 232 if I’m correct. However, most of his photos are indoor/low-quality, so report the whole profile is fine, just in my opinion.
Photos that are not associated to a specific place (e.g. photos uploaded at the street level) appear in Google Maps under the contributions as related to an “Unknown Place”. It doesn’t mean that the photos have to be removed, nor that the profile have to be reported for this specific reason.
What we can see from the profile is that only 13 photos are associated to a listing in Google Maps. All the others are not giving points.
Real Estate company normally do this to show the place they are selling, however it is a bad practice to upload that photos in Google Maps.
An individual report should be sent for the photos uploaded “not a Street Level” because of the low quality, and because that kind of photos is useless in Google Maps.
The real problem is the 404 error, that I can confirm. To escalate this issue I am tagging @Bobiisha
In addition, for everyone’s privacy, @thnghh , please remove the screenshot and the links from your posts
I agree with @ErmesT
Hi @thnghh ,
Thank you for letting us know about this. I will escalate the issue of the error message you receive when reporting the images and look into the Local Guide’s account.
Please note that I’ve redacted the images and links that held information about the Local Guide’s profile for privacy reasons. We don’t encourage Local Guides to share theirs or someone else’s personal information publicly.
Thank you for your valuable input in this conversation @MortenCopenhagen , @ErmesT and @PaulPavlinovich .
Hi again @thnghh ,
The team confirmed that this issue is fixed. Can you please try to report the images again and let me know if it’s working? Thanks!
Thank you. I can report the images properly now. Hopefully, they will be taken down soon.
hello
any idea on how long it takes when someone reports an old street view ?
for example, let’s say a business has changed…the street view from google (not a random photohrapher) is outdated…and showing and old business…
when reporting it (and adding new up to date street view), do you know if it takes weeks or months for the old street view taken by google to be removed ?
thanks.
