Hey everyone!
नमस्ते ! (Namaste!)
Bonjour à tous!
¡Hola a todos!
I’m Jai and I’m from India. I really love to learn new languages and different cultures all around the world. Apart from English, I speak three Indian and 2 European languages. So no points in guessing that I love to travel and explore new places around the world as well!
There’s a subtle difference in between being a ‘traveller’ and a ‘tourist’. If you’re a traveller, you try to adapt with the locals, the transport, the food, drinks and culture of the place you visit. I like to do exactly the same thing. And hence, I love to write and blog about my travels and my experiences. I’ve been a travel blogger since 2016.
Before travelling to a new place, I complete a detailed research about the place. This helps me to try and integrate with the locals, the local culture and cuisine as much as possible. So be it the best crêpes in Bretagne (France), or waffels in Belgium, or trdelník in Prague, or hot chocolate and churros in Spain, or chicken momos in Spiti Valley (India), or Rajasthani thali in Rajasthan, etc. I try to have it all.
My main aim, always, is to get integrated with the local things of a particular place and to make others aware about it. Google maps has helped me a lot when I research about different places, by telling the busy hours or the exact location, etc. I started putting my reviews and pictures on maps last year and within no time, I realised the impact of the same. I realised I could contribute my experiences on this platform as well, making it easier for others to plan their travels or meet-ups in a particular place. It frankly gives me a pleasure to even think that my photos and reviews might help somebody out there. I thus love to do my bit and help maps with the information I have and experiences that I get.
