Today @Rahul001 and I found this amazing and iconic clock tower at the entrance of University of Kerala, main building. It has a rich heritage and academic excellence even Dating back to the early 20th century, it has witnessed the university’s evolution from the University of Travancore, established in 1937, modeled after the best universities in the United Kingdom, to one of Kerala’s most prestigious educational institutions.
With its striking colonial-style architecture and timeless white facade, the tower beautifully blends tradition with modernity. For decades, its clock has silently marked the passage of time, bearing witness to generations of students and countless academic milestones.

I would thank @Rahul001 as he is the one who spotted it … I have even gone to that university 2 or 3 times within last month and numerous times while I studied in KTU, but never spotted it. @Gouri_S_Prakash you could take a selfie next time you pass in front of it.

In the olden days, most public places like educational institutes had such clock towers for the benefit of all people in that area.

Many of these historic buildings have undergone renovations over the years, with their iconic clocks either removed or forgotten. Sadly, the few remaining clock towers often go unnoticed by most.

I remember The college has a clock as I also studied in Sarvodaya which is same management. MG college has one clock tower too. @TravellerG
