Makkah Clock Royal Tower, is the fourth-tallest building and sixth-tallest freestanding structure in the world. The clock tower contains the Clock Tower Museum that occupies the top four floors of the tower. It is visible from a long distance and works as a Landmark or beacon for people. The top of the tower lights up during Azan and in special occasions. Sharing few Photos from my trip to Mecca in June/July 2022.

That certainly is a large clock @MahinCTG thanks for sharing it. I wonder why they settled on a clock tower as part of their design. Clock towers were much more popular and necessary before everyone carried their own time with them.

Indeed. Not sure what actually inspired the construction. But it’s the Tallest Clock Tower in the World and construction begun at 2004 and was completed in 2012. Thanks for your comment @PaulPavlinovich . It was my First connect post so still trying to figure out the best way to Post in here
