It’s high time I wrote this recap before the memory and feeling disappears. I don’t get much chances of meet-up as a result of work and etc,so whenever I get an opportunity I use it to the optimum. This meet-up was well worthwhile.It was an impromptu meet-up,yet it was so well organised. The feeling was mutual and the local guides prominent on connect. As a result,I will share with you all as passionate as possible. It was a great chance to re-connect again.Aside my fellow CM on this meet-up which we have had interactions together so often.
I was so excited to meet him again for 2 very important reasons.
- The first time we met I wasn’t a moderator then. We met at Google office in Lagos.
- The 2nd reason he is going on a very interesting trip that interests me as well.
The other local guides are those who we interact in and outside connect. Am sure these faces are all familiar !!!
It was @Sagir moved the motion. He was coming to my area for some official duties. The result was him inviting us out to lunch. The other local guides also responded. It was connect indeed. Aside the fact that we were so happy to be together again. We played games we discussed connect and the maps.
Some outstanding issues discussed
- Connect isn’t user friendly therefore most local guides can’t be bothered using connect.
- Activities are fairly dull now and a revamp is necessary on connect.
- Of course we mentioned TRAC and Road mappers program. Sagir was once featured on it !!!
- We took photos to add to the maps.
- We also uploaded videos. We did our duties as local guides.
The games we played didn’t favour the 2 moderators during the meet-up. @MrFreez no thanks to you. Nevertheless I promise a 2nd leg on that ludo games.
@MrLabule well done and well play. At the end of the day it was a win win. We were all happy
We also had lunch together of course. I liked a particular local drink which was served here in this restaurant. Chicken Curry rice for all of us.
We missed @EmekaUlor he wasn’t available for distance and work etc. Thank you for reading.

This is a well put together recap of a very interesting meet-up. We sure had a good time and discussed important matters regarding LG activities and participation.
The attempt you made to trivialize the Ludo and Ayo games will not work @SholaIB lol. Say it properly the way it is. You two CMs got whooped severely. Yes!!!

@SholaIB thank you for the meet-up recap. Just so sad that I have been missing such unique meet-ups.
By the way, I love Samantha’s Bistro. The last time we bought some stuffs there, they were delicious. It was takeaway though because we were at a nearby office for training on Keffi Street. I love their burger, waffles and cinnamon rolls really.

Nor worry !!! We will plan à 2nd leg and we must have games again. Maybe same ludo again sef. The post meet-up waka. Lol life is funny really. I enjoyed it too except the fact that you lured me into going . Lol

What we mentioned was the fact that, local guides log in onto connect and it’s quite difficult to know where to begin and what to do. You have the different boards remember. I have faces issues of posting a wrong topic at the beginning of my time here on connect. Those usually end up in the spam filter which was OK.
Secondly we have a limit to the photo size,a streamlined range of topics etc. Some have even complained about the lack of app for local guides connect forum. These is just to highlight a few. Have you any complaints as regards that? Thank you for asking and commenting.
