On March 1st 2025, International Wheelchair Day is viewed and Celebrated. As part of that, I am going to conduct a meet-up showcasing Wheelchair Accessibility in my city, Trivandrum, KERALA.

I also interviewed @Parashooter-Akhil, a parashooter on International Day of Persons with Disabilities where he shared his view on Wheelchair users and accessibility it gives.

Agenda

  • To show Wheelchair Accessibility around famous tourist attractions in Trivandrum.
  • To promote and awareness for Local Businesses to provide Wheelchair Accessibility.
  • Adding wheelchair accessible Ramps (photos) and Bathrooms to Google Maps.

Activities in the meet-up

  • Visiting famous tourist attractions in Trivandrum.
  • Visiting local businesses and giving awareness and information of installing wheelchair Accessibility if they are not providing.
  • Photo walks will be conducted in between the trips.
  • From 12:30pm to 1:00pm will be taken for a food session.

Date - 1st MARCH 2025

Time - 10am to 1pm

Meeting point - Kanakakunnu Palace entrance.
