Hi everyone! Welcome to Local Guides Connect. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to our community.

2. Location: Currently living in Sofia, Bulgaria, but have lived in Ankara, Turkey.
3. What I love about being a Local Guide: To me, the Local Guides program is a great opportunity to engage with people from around the world, take part in cultural exchanges, and make good friends. Through the contributions of other Local Guides on Google Maps, I’ve explored many new places during my holidays abroad. Maps have also saved me numerous times when I’ve got lost in a city that I visit for the first time.

1. My favorite thing to explore: I like exploring historical places of different cultures. When I go somewhere, I always look for sites built centuries ago. For example, I was fascinated by the Ancient Agora of Athens in Greece and the Roman Forum in Italy. Recently, I visited the amazing Nasrid Palaces in Granada, Spain, that deserve to be on everyone’s bucket list!

1. Fun Fact about me: I have a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and am a part-time psychologist at a local foundation. I’m also a big fan of comedies.

4. Being a Local Guide: I use google maps a lot, before going to any location I read reviews and comments, and if I have any query I ask in Q&A and people do reply almost instantaneously. Having seen that I decided to be part of community and help people where ever I can (doing so since few year now)
5. What I love to do: I love to make introductory videos of places wherever I go, as of now I don’t share it on public platform, but only time know it may change in future

Hello community!,

I´m Axel Velasco, 25 years old, living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I really love being a Google Maps Local Guide. I discovered this world the last year, and since then, I´ve been writing my feedback to every place I go and every place I remembered visiting.

I really love doing this, I feel that I am providing something really useful to all the community. From my experience, I´ve seen that people in my country/place don´t use Google Maps very much to give their feedback to places, thing I do daily.

If I need to search for a place, I automatically search it inside Google Maps app, I don´t go surfing the Internet anymore for this. I find everything I need inside Google Maps app, it´s my daily world to me!

I´ve been in Europe and the US, so I know some different cultures. Actually, I´m working on a pharmaceutical company, and I work with people in the US, Spain and Germany, so during my daily routine I speak English, which I love to speak, but I always think of travelling in a nearby future, to know more people, for getting them to know our culture and place.

I really want to participate for having the chance of going to the Connect Live 2019 Event, I´m so exited to participate on this!

I live in Treviso @GNaz , a medieval city 30 minutes to the well known Venice

If you search in Connect you will find a lot of post about my city, because is one of the place in the world where the Local Guides loves to meet. Treviso - The town where the Local Guides meet , maybe because of the wine, maybe because of the food, maybe because of me. Who knows? Heavy rain and a lot of fun - When the Local Guides meet

Hello, Nice to know another amazing Googler @GNaz . We have also a Persian name Golnaz and I think it has the same meaning with your name: delicate flower.

I’m Amir from Iran. Most important thing for me in the Local Guides program is to help people for having an accurate map by editing and by bringing good users together in the community and also by teaching new users.

I also like to explore historical places, science and cultural centers, art galleries and also beautiful parks.
