Jatayu Earth Center is a perfect mix of adventure, history, and nature. Located in Chadayamangalam, this spot is easy to find on Google Maps and is just a short drive from Kollam and also from my home (14 kms).
This huge statue of Jatayu, a mythical eagle from the Ramayana, is the biggest bird sculpture in the world. It stands 200 feet long and 70 feet tall—a breathtaking sight from the top.

There are Adventure Activities ,If you love adventure like zip-lining, rock climbing, trekking, and paintball. I went on a free entry so I couldn’t go there. I went to enjoy peaceful walking trails, a healing cave, and a scenic view of the landscape.

When we lived in Trivandrum, I went till near Jatayu Junction but could not roming due to lack of time. Anyway thanks for sharing with us. @SarathUpendran

I have visited this hilltop decades back when it was known as 'Melu Para’s - my mother in law’s house is at the foothills of this.
You have presented it in brief with all the spirit…the paid track takes you to other different destinations…right?

I wanted to visit here but could not due to lack of time - there is so much to explore in Kerala.
Wonderful photos and also delightful to see the tea and snacks can be enjoyed at the top as well.
The most important thing I learnt was the presence of the cable car ride.

Wow… I have only gone to jadayu para only after its construction was finished…
Yes, it’s a paid pack . It cost 600 per person. But today there was a free entry option as part of ulsavam at the temple on the top of the rock … And that didn’t give me access to the adventure section.

@TusharSuradkar sir it’s nice to enjoy the tea and snacks with the view and nice wind … But it’s very expensive … Even a lime juice cost 40rs
