Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Internet and Mobile Association of India in partnership with YouTube , bring you the WAVES Explorer Challenge. Share untold stories of YOUR India — its vibrant markets, hidden food havens, and cultural treasures - through your lens on YouTube and stand a chance to win a paid trip to the WAVE Summit!

We encourage you to participate in the Waves Explorer Challenge, connect with other creators, and reveal your unique perspective to the world. Remember to use the hashtag #WAVESExplorer on your YouTube Shorts or Vlogs.

Furthermore, consider highlighting these locations with Google Maps integration in your videos. You could show viewers how to find these hidden gems, adding practical value to your content.

Challenge Overview

• India isn’t just one story; it’s a million tales waiting to be told. The Waves Explorer Challenge is your chance to uncover some of them.
• Capture your India on YouTube Shorts - from vibrant streets and hidden food havens to serene landscapes and cultural treasures- and share the stories you find.
• Every time you hit record, you document a unique slice of India: raw, authentic, and beautiful.
• Join the country’s biggest creators and uncover India’s hidden gems.

Mission

• Use Google Maps to discover vibrant local markets, breathtaking landscapes, or your favorite hidden spots. Show us India’s unexpected delights!
• Hit Record! Create a dynamic YouTube Short that captures your India. Use a soundtrack that resonates with you from the YouTube Audio Library. Share your unique perspective with the tagline, “For the record, this is my India.”
• Share & Shine! Post your Short on YouTube with #WAVESExplorer and submit your entry via the official submission form.

How to join

1. Create a YouTube Short and show us what makes you say: “For the record, this is my India.”
2. Share with #WAVESExplorer and submit it on our website: bit.ly/WAVESExplorer

Prizes

1. Winners will receive an invitation to a YouTube-hosted event scheduled for 2025. (Terms and conditions apply. The schedule and format are subject to change.)
2. Winners will get an exclusive, all-expenses-paid trip for the WAVES event!
3. Winner entries will be showcased in the WAVES Hall of Fame at the event.
