Previously Tibet was a world separate from culture, beliefs completely different. For the Tibetans, the biggest aspiration of their life is to bow down in front of Jokhang Temple, crawl around Bokhang Street around that temple and visit Potala Temple.
Jokhang Temple was built in 7th century and located at center of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. You as foreign travelers should have permission to get here.

Dear @MoniDi , it was my first time here in 2015. It was not easy to get permission especially after the fire in 2018, in Tibet you should go everywhere with tour guide . Open time from 9h to 17h. You will be screened, so don’t bring any knife or something dangerous with. You could spend 2 hours to visit.

Hi @LiliSol , I hope that you could add North part of Vietnam 
to your preference, there you could visit some villages of tribes and enjoy their rural life quite far from modern civilization.
