Journey to the hidden waterfall in the off the map area

What an adventure to explore the hidden waterfall with the community. My mission is to take photos to help promote this site for community who runs it and give advice for improvement of tourism facility to the community where necessary!

It was 8hours journey through very adventurous trails and tracks.

It is 4kms from the community center. It took about 8hours on returning trip, including time for photos.

Anglung Svay Waterfall

  • We explored big waterfall, namely Anglung Svay Waterfall, I added to Google Map, that is not known to many people.
  • We explored camping area and star gazing spot.
  • We explored stopping and resting area.
  • We explored big trees and
  • We saw so many wild floras.
  • We heard birds signing over tall trees

Photos of the journey can be seen here!

Wild flowers along the way.

Fun and learning journey with community people.

Community members accompanied me for this day trip - look at our journey: up and down.

Eye-opening destinations after walking for up and down the mountain for 3hours. The water in the pool is emerald like ocean and I really wanted to swim but the current is also too strong. Will definitely come back later when the weather is better.

What to bring for such a trip:

  • Lightweight and elastic hiking clothes.
  • Lightweight backpack
  • Waterproof bag for camera and phones
  • Swimming wear
  • Enough drinking water
  • Fit hiking shoes
  • Raincoat/waterproof jacket (we can’t expect rain, we are soaked by rain half of our trip)
  • Check the weather before hand.
  • Bird guide book if you have, we heard so many birds along the way
  • Binoculars for birds watching.

This place can also be considered as a quiet place since it was only us and birds on the mountain, very quiet!

Google map of this place is here

Hey @Sophia_Cambodia ,

Thanks for sharing!

Is this the monthly topic for a quite place? If so, the main label should be Local Stories. You can edit your post from the three dots and change it. I also recommend that you increase the size of your photos so we could see the details better and enjoy them.

Thank you @Bobiisha , I posted from the phone and checked on the phone so I don’t know the difference. Normally, I posted from my PC. I will change it soon later, as I don’t have the charger of my pc with me and it had run out of battery.

Hey @Sophia_Cambodia ,

Do you want me to move it for you?

Hi dear @Bobiisha @, please help to enlarge photos but I doubted if they are going to be in good quality.

This place is really amazing and beautiful! The waterfall is breathtaking view.

Flowers are nice. I think you have a relaxing day and trip in this amazing place.

Is it jungle? The waterfall is in jungle or not?

Have a perfect Sunday!

Thank you Inna dear @helga19

Yes, the place is breathtaking and the water is crystal clear.

It is more amazing when you are the first one to add it on the map. It is like discovering new site. It is not popular yet but people get to know it now. It was tiring as I have to walk back on the same day, 8 hours walking… my legs are super painful
