Kaas Plateau - Wandering through a sea of wildflowers

The Kaas Plateau, also known as the “Kaas Pathar”, is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site located near Satara in Maharashtra, India.

It is renowned for its seasonal bloom of wildflowers, earning it the nickname “Valley of Flowers” of Maharashtra.

There are over 850 species of flowering plants on the plateau every year during the monsoon season (usually between August and October).

The entry fee is ₹150/- per person. There will be 3 slots: from 7.00 am to 11.00 am, from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm, and from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm (for this slot, you must report between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm).

@Merlin thomas, Beautiful place on the earth indeed!!! It was our favourite weekend spot in the month of October a few years back. Now all are scattered everywhere in our group so didn’t get much time to wander around on weekends.
