@DeniGu Thank you very much for pointing out this helpful information.
Really surprised to find myself at the top of the winners list for the second time. I am very happy. I am very curious to see myself as the winner again for the third time.

@DeniGu Thank you for announcing the winners list and I am happy to get this beautiful badge.
Congratulations to all winners.
If you’ve won the one-time winner badge, you’ll need to keep an eye out for any notifications or announcements from Connect regarding subsequent wins. They may send you a message or update your profile to reflect your additional achievements. Additionally, you can always check your profile or leaderboard status periodically to see if any new badges or recognitions have been added. As for the challenges, it would be great to see a mix of both physical and virtual challenges that encourage exploration, creativity, and community engagement. @HarshBharti5
@HarshBharti5 : What do you mean with physical challenges in the context of google maps? I’m curious how you see this suggestion.
@KattyGeltmeyer In the context of Google Maps, physical challenges could involve activities that encourage users to explore their local surroundings or venture to new places. For example:
Walking/Running Challenges: Users could be encouraged to walk or run a certain distance within their neighborhood or in a designated area, with Google Maps tracking their progress and providing route suggestions.
Hiking Trails Exploration: Google Maps could promote challenges where users explore nearby hiking trails or nature reserves, encouraging outdoor activities and discovery of scenic routes.
City Exploration Challenges: Users could be tasked with visiting specific landmarks or points of interest within their city, fostering a sense of exploration and discovery.
Biking Challenges: Similar to walking/running challenges, users could be encouraged to bike a certain distance using bike-friendly routes suggested by Google Maps.
These physical challenges would not only promote healthy lifestyles and outdoor activities but also leverage the capabilities of Google Maps to provide navigation, route planning, and exploration tools to users.
@HarshBharti5 : This is an interesting suggestion, but not all google maps users are as mobile as you seem to be. So, I add a 5th suggestion, but in that case I wouldn’t limit the challenge in time or use a year etc. as time slot: indicate to maps if you are disabled or not, walk a route or visit x number of places while in your wheel chair and send info to Google maps (not only within reviews) about the locations you visited.
@KattyGeltmeyer yes, but all have phone and internet.
I don’t have my smartphone with me constantly and I disable location for most of the time. I like your idea, @HarshBharti5 , but the sports related suggestions I would link both google health and maps for this, and @DeniGu: for the visiting places or tourist related suggestions it would be interesting if localguidesconnect and google maps were integrated more deeply. And then, the participants must indeed have the location options enabled and hope that they have the time and chance to visit several places or walk or bike big distances.
Thank you for the mention @DeniGu
I am delighted to have earned a 2nd badge.
Challenge on presence of safety equipment and signs wont be a bad one. To show fire extinguishers, muster points, safty signs etc.
Thank you so much, @DeniGu !
Thanks DeniGu. As a new guide that was very helpful information to know.
Hi @KattyGeltmeyer ,
Thank you for the challenge idea! We do keep track of the ideas Local Guides share with us for challenges they want to see related to the Local Guides program and Google Maps.
However, even if we’re not able to implement your idea, you’re more than welcome to post it in the community and invite others to join. Some recent examples are this 30-day Maps contributions challenge by @MrFreez and this 31-day Road Mapper challenge by @JustJake .
Liebe @DeniGu
Recently i came across a problem
Google Map Views is going because in last couple of days there is no views on my uploads
Anyone?
تقيم جيد شكرا جزيلا
Soooo disappointed, pictures pending update and not current on any reviews. I was told it would get better but my account is still behind. Is there someone I can talk to or write as the help desk comments don’t seem to be effective. Just trying to stay current and interested in continuing as I enjoy sharing reviews it’s great fun and I love helping others as I appreciate looking at the reviews and getting ideas as well.
Congratulations dear @DeniGu now your profile change Google contributor to Google moderator, once again congratulations
Cuando son los próximos desafíos? Estaré atento
Its interesting, I’ve posted several times, included moderators and my photos are still pending updates. Several of my posts don’t have the amount of views. I haven’t done anything against the rules. There has to be a better system of fixing the problems. I do see how everyone gets congratulations on several postsbgor various things. How about fixing the problems that have been occurring on several people who’ve is the same thread. Pictures are not uploading, views are not posted.
