Lego Stores: A Perfect Place For Adults & Kids Alike

Since I was young I’ve lived building things. Lincoln logs, magnetic tiles, KNex, and even Ikea furniture. But most of all, I love LEGOS. I always purchased them in department stores and never knew what I was missing until I went to my first mall with a LEGO store.

What Makes LEGO Stores So Enjoyable?

For me, LEGO is amazing because it shows you that whatever you can build is only limited by your imagination and skill. LEGO stores showcase all of this throughout their shelves and displays. Simple constructions of their pre-assembled sets juxtaposed next to huge creations of the Statue of :statue_of_liberty: Liberty, the Empire State Building, or characters form you beloved program. It is a store of possibilities.

My Favorite LEGO Stores

My favorite stores are always in large cities (New York, Atlanta, LA, Tokyo, etc). These are unique because they have added space, great staff, and huge custom creations that kids and adults can admire and be inspired.

Customization Stations

The last reason I love LEGO stores are the unique stations that foster building, socializing, and creativity. For example, there is an area in each store for kids to assemble their own unique characters and creations and purchase those to take home. This is such a fun way to foster creativity and break up a shopping trip.

Other stores have a LEGO part wall to grab a few missing or broken pieces you need in any color. Some have Mosaic Makers where you can photograph yourself and turn your picture into LEGO art!

Wrapping Up This Build

SIR Show me your passport… your LEGO passport!

Visiting LEGO stores is a must for me when visting a mall @JordanSB , same as you I like to see the custom builds that every store has and to add another stamp to my passport. The coolest store I have visited is the 5th Av. store, because of the personalized minifugure experience, all the decoration and a brick made of a meteorite!

The first LEGO store in Mexico opened in 2018 in the biggest mall of Mexico City and I like to visit every 4-6 months to see new builds, my favourites have been a Mariachi and a Taco shop

@JordanSB - I have been to four LEGO stores (2 in the SF Bay Area), one in Honolulu, and the big one in LEGOLand in San Diego. The first three are relatively small compared to the LEGOLand store.

I also find the latest LEGO kits at Costco in the last couple of years year round.

Cheers,

Karen

Oh man this post definitely hit me in the feels, @JordanSB - me and my wife LOVE Lego and we visit their stores anytime we spot one. We’ve been to so many; tons in the States (one ten mins from us), a few in Europe, El Salvador, Disney World, Qatar, and more. Our favorite were the ones in Japan, we felt their larger than life figures and creations were fantastic. Heck, I brought home to the states the Brian O Connor 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline all the way back home with me from Osaka. We have so many sets at home to open and build and this may have sparked my inspiration to get to it!

Vas a tener que venir a Barcelona !

Such a wonderful post with amazing pictures @JordanSB Lego is my childhood love :confetti_ball:
