Little Lavender farm at Wellington

Compared to other farms Araceli Farms, Lavender Fields in USA or Lavender fields Provence at France, this is “Lavender Creek Farm” in New Zealand is relatively small!

However, I did not expect I would see this in Wellington. It was called Lavender Creek Farm, located at Kapiti Coast, Wellington. If I remember well, it is fully bloomed in March. Rather small, but enough to tell a story how lavender flower can produce many other products, ranging from oil, soap, lotion, face cream, hand scrub and body butter, candle and other cosmetics. There is a showroom of how oil can be infused.

It was a great memory. If anyone in Wellington, they can take a quick visit there.

Wow, @Sophia_Cambodia , your photos are so beautiful.

Have you also dropped some photo on their listing in Google Maps? Seems to be this one, isn’t it? Lavender Creek Farm

I see they are preparing the products by themselves, this is quite impressive.

Can you also visit the laboratory? My technical side is always extremely curious about this aspect, and I like to see the “people at work” to create their own products, this is what makes every farm so special.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I love the photo of you in action.

If you give me some hour … I am working on a post just related to this

Hi @Sophia_Cambodia ,

wow very nice shots and this should be a very nice place as well! Never seen such a farm as well, in general so it should be very interesting to see how they raise lavenders and how they work them.

Btw I’ve been in Wellington but only in the city and I loved it a lot, perhaps good to know for the next time  . Maybe our kiwi friend @OliverKIWI knows this place  .

  • @ErmesT right. We could see how they do it. They even told us story but I was there more than 5 years ago so I forgot the story, only the flower itself!*

  • @JaneBurunina thank you and I am honored to hear your compliment :slightly_smiling_face: Another time, I even saw many sheep eating around the farm. My friend brought picnic lunch to sit outside of the farm, just to enjoy the aroma and view, what a memory!*

  • @OliverKIWI ah, sounds so exciting. Honestly, I did not think NZ would have it. A family from France visiting the farm with me and they were like… oh so this is the farm you talked about. I thought it is way bigger like in France, hehe… It was enough for me I think!*
