Earlier this month I had the pleasure of visiting Boom Burgers & Booze in Sofia, Bulgaria with @Jenny_A , @NadyaPN , @GeorgesHR and @MarinSt . We headed to Boom after we waited in the rain to see the Pope but that’s another story. Anyway, Nadya picked this place because she knew it was great and also knows how much I enjoy burgers (if you know me, you know I love them and have hosted burger crawls in the past). Boom is a really cool space from the entrance all the way up to the top level, which, by the way, is completely wheelchair-accessible!
We decided to split a few burgers so we could sample nearly all of their offerings but I knew from my first look at the menu (which was available in Bulgarian AND English) that I’d love the K-Pop Chicken which is a soy and scallion marinated but deep fried boneless chicken breast served with, spicy Korean Gochujang sauce, carrots and iceberg lettuce; and I wasn’t wrong.
Now, the other burgers were good but I am only writing about chicken burger because it was THAT good and I totally e expected the cheeseburgers to blow my (Local Guides) socks off! Boom has four locations in Bulgaria so please add it to a list of places you want to visit and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Have you ever gone into a restaurant wanting one thing and loving another?
Now that’s what I call a satisfying chicken burger. Sometimes, I change my mind when entering a restaurant because I want something different after looking at the menu.
@TraciC is that photo the real picture of the burger it’s really big. As for me yes a couple of times I have gone into a restaurant intending at times to just buy a snack but end up having a full meal. My problem really is I can’t resist good food as just the sweet smell will blow me off and also I can tell if its not good just by the aroma.
@TraciC My friends and family know me i am food lover. I love beef double cheeseburger, but sometimes i change my mind for chicken burger. Specially if i go KFC or BurgerKing Bcz i always love macdonald beef burger.
Nice post! @TraciC i also like burgers quite a bit, especially with cheese. Here in peru there is one called “queso serrano” , a salty specialty kind of cheese that mixed it up (melted) with high quality meat blows anyone minds. I also have a weakness with BBQ sausaces… A great burger combo.
Yeah, it’s happening to me @TraciC .When I entering my favourite restaurant or cafe. I change my mind and want to try something new menu. By the way thank you for share us your valuable post. Talking about Burgers, Here in Jakarta, Indonesia. There is one restaurant that must be tried, namely Burgreens Organic Eatery. For those of you who are vegetarians or healthy food lovers. When you visiting Jakarta you must try this.
Here you can enjoy burgers, salads, gluten-free pasta and low fat and Calories. For sure, it is so tasty.
My favourite is Local Twist Trio Burger.
When split, it will look reddish brown like meat. This red color is produced from a mixture of red spinach leaves.
Combined with white sauce that is savory fresh, this sauce is made with a mixture of coriander and yogurt.
@LeaveGugleMap No need to call me sir but yes, it’s real and it’s only available in boneless chicken breast and all white meat.
@PavelSarwar@OmerAli It’s OK to go to fast food when you have to or want to. My favorite fast food burger is a McDonald’s cheeseburger and I’m not ashamed!
@marcorp Now I’ll need to try to find that here in NYC!
@Radjasitanggang That’s such a lovely photo AND write-up of a burger. I love a good veggie burger myself. We used to have burgers here in the Google NYC office with rice and quinoa that was crunchy, not dry and full of flavor. I’m not a fan of lentil burgers but other veggie burgers, I’ll take it. Thank you for sharing!
My wife just roasted beef and we are going to make homemade beef sandwiches. I will top it up with lamb crispies, double cheese, mustard sauce and homemade garlic bun
I will post pictures, if everything goes by plan and if it looks presentable
Otherwise, I will drive to the other town to get BurgerKing now, really craving for one Whopper
@OmerAli You had me at roasted beef and then again at homemade garlic bun, whatever was in the middle didn’t matter, LOL. (Except I don’t eat lamb, but you do and you’re eating it and that is all that matters). Enjoy it as I’m SURE it will be good and save the Whopper for another day.
