Naf : A river that stitched two countries

No, It’s not a snake. Of course this is a river! Yeah, this is Naf River. This river is the border mark of Bangladesh and Myanmar. It flows into the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean.

Last time when I was returning from China to Bangladesh, our airplane is almost 20,000 feet above from surface, I was just surprised to see this beautiful scenery.

Hi @JoinalAbedin ,

This river actually reminds me of Trollstigen road in Norway, which has similar curves. How long is this river?

@DanniS This is not too long. It’s just 63 Km long. And average width is 1336 meter. Average depth 39 meter.

@JoinalAbedin yes it immediately reminded me of this road. But 63km is a pretty long river. Are they using it for fishing or boat trips?

Hi @JoinalAbedin,

Thanks for sharing with us!

From what I can think of, I may propose a title for the photo - Naf River, worlds luckiest watercourse, laying next to Cox’s Bazar, with one of the world’s longest sea beaches and flowing the third largest ocean on the planet, the Indian Ocean.

Hello @JoinalAbedin thanks for the nice click.

I can’t understand the meaning of ‘It flows into the Bay of Bengal from Indian Ocean’.

‘Naf; A river that stitched two countries’. would be a good title.

I think @JoinalAbedin must have meant that Naf River would flow into the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean.

Personally I do sometimes get my words twisted by mistake, probably from the constant sleepiness.

A really interesting title you have proposed, @ASMHasan .

@DanniS There are no tourist. But of course there are many fishing boats. This river is the most important that used to be crossing the displaced Rohingya peoples in Myanmar.

Thanks a lot to @sonnyNg & @ASMHasan . There was a big mistake. Now okay. Already corrected. ‘Naf River would flow into the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean’ is right.

And Specially thanks to @ASMHasan for your nice title. Once I thought it.

As a side note, @JoinalAbedin, we would like the Local Guides to refrain from making political or religious remarks.

Due to the diversity of the community, it is indeed not advisable, as it may cause many inconveniences.

Thank you for the kind words, @ASMHasan .
