If you care to check, the easiest method is checking the Recent tab or the By you tab. That way you don’t need to scroll over a lot of photos.

I had similar problems a year ago, which also frustrated me. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any help and I felt that they didn’t mind if so many people didn’t upload opinions and especially photos because of the storage space. I stopped contributing at level 9 because it doesn’t even publish the ones without photos anymore, they are pending. This is a system error but there is no effort to fix it.

I also have the same issue on and off again for at least 1 year now. A few days ago I could post reviews and photos without a problem, and suddenly all the photos and reviews I posted later didn’t get published. I sometimes just posted a few photos on site to see if Google Maps will believe me that I am actually there, not waiting till I get back to the hotel room. Still it didn’t help at all. I also submitted the form a few times but many reviews/photos are still not public. It is really frustrating since I myself reply heavily on other Google local guides and hope that this issue gets solved quickly.

I had another look but sadly I cannot find any of my photos. I used “Landhotel Lebenart” for this experiment and - of course - my own photos. I wish there would finally be some clarity as to what the issue is and what can be done about it.

It’s getting a bit difficult to keep track of this issue with so many people jumping in to share their problems.
You complained about photos attached to reviews remaining in uploading/posting mode.
I checked your profile, and I think you are writing very good reviews and your photos are great.
Your latest review is 2 month old. And I understand there are reviews that fail to publish.
It sounds like there might be a block put on your account so you cannot add new reviews.
The best action from here is probably this:
Please use the form called Account Investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps if you believe some of your contributions have been wrongfully unpublished. Keep in mind, it takes about 6 weeks for the check to get done, and you will not be notified about the result, so I suggest you check the status of your reviews once a week or so.
It could be that the block is causing your inability to upload reviews and photos.
Please report back if things stabilize or 6 weeks pass without any improvement.

Thanks @MortenCopenhagen for your kind words and your support. I can understand how difficult it can be to sift through all these issues. I will definitely fill out the form you mentioned and hopefully it will solve the issue. I thoroughly enjoy writing reviews for maps and I hope I can continue doing that.
