This looks and sounds delicious @kasiyanta ! I don’t know if I’m going to be able to make it with the sort of bananas that are sold here in my country, but I’ll definitely give it a try.

What do you think @AngieYC ? Is it possible to make Pisang Owol with the ingredients sold in Bulgaria?

I’m also going to tag @MortenSI here, as I know that he loves the combo bananas and chocolate.

Thanks for the tag @KlaudiyaG , you’re right I’m a big fan of banana and chocolate.

Overall this really is my kind of dessert, but I can’t help but wonder how the cheese fits with the rest of the ingredients. I have never had chocolate with cheese before.

I guess I’ll have to make it to find out.

Hello @KlaudiyaG ,

In Indonesia from what I know they use different types of banana to make our special Indonesian fried banana. We can try, but I don’t have any guarantee it will be as good.

Well, trying never hurt anybody, so I’m determined to make it, or at least to attempt to prepare it. It won’t turn that bad. Right @AngieYC ?

Are you willing to try my Bulgarian spin on Pisang Owol @MortenSI ? A while back, a Local Guide did share on Connect a recipe for banana chips. Even though I wasn’t able to make it the exact same way he posted it, it was still delicious.

Hello @KlaudiyaG,

Well, we can give it a shot and hope for the best.

That was fried banana?, I thought it was some meat dish, when I haven’t read your caption.

I could be up for a challenge @KlaudiyaG .

Do you happen to still have the recipe?

I know, the picture isn’t that good and this is why I didn’t share it before on Connect, but I can assure you that it was delicious @AngieYC .

Unfortunately @MortenSI I didn’t kept it, but I’ll search for it.

Hai @AngieYC

Masing masing pisang mempunyai karakter sendiri sendiri.

Pisang yang biasa di goreng biasanya pisang kepok.

Pisang owol ini menggunakan jenis pisang raja.

Jenis pisang yang berbeda akan memiliki rasa yang berbeda juga.

Hallo @KlaudiyaG @MortenSI @AngieYC @Annisa1208

Thank you so much for the useful information @kasiyanta ! Regarding the cheese, when do you add it into the mixture and what exactly is the type cheese that you are using? Is it cream cheese?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks @kasiyanta , it sounds like something even I can make.

I had no ideas there were so many different types of bananas! I think our choices are a bit limited here @KlaudiyaG , but I bet it will still be good.

Hai @MortenSI @KlaudiyaG

Sebenarnya tidak masalah sembarang pisang hanya nanti rasanya beda.

Perlu diperhatikna: Pisang tidak terlalu matang biar tidak lemas.

Great! It’s noted. Thank you so much for all the details and tips that you have shared. I really can’t wait to try it at home. Like you said @kasiyanta , the taste won’t be the same, but I’m positive that it’s going to be delicious.

P.S.: I don’t know if you are aware of this, but for quite some time now, we do not encourage Local Guides to share other people’s content (photos) on Connect without their permission and this is why I edited your post.

I know @MortenSI , but I think that I got an idea with the help of @kasiyanta what type of bananas we should look for. And, the good news is that I have an idea where we can find them.

That sounds great @KlaudiyaG !

I wouldn’t know where to get anything other than regular bananas, so I will follow your lead.
