Hi guys
Please assist me, I’m now also having an issue when trying to upload my video content directly to YouTube from Google Photos.
The option is on the YouTube page with this box to the right of the screen:
but when I click “import” I’m once again asked to sign in even though I already am.
I still click the option to sign in and it momentarily freezes, as though a pop-up may be trying to occur, but then the page stays the same.
I then click to sign in again and am greeted with this comment below:
Please could a moderator assist now as this is a similar relation to Signing In to Contribute to Maps on Desktop

PS - I have cleared my cache and my cookies so don’t think the issue is there.

Regarding your issue, I would suggest you sign out and sign into both Google Photos and YouTube (hopefully with the same Google account), and try again.

Ah, apologies for the tag, I’ll familiarise myself further with the Moderators and who is who.
And yea, both accounts are with the same email address so no hassle there.

@LeeBee-SA as @StephenAbraham mentions TraciC is the boss of Local Guides team so its important to only mention her when absolutely necessary.
I just tried the import from photos to YouTube following the instructions at https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6036060 and it works fine - there is a pop up when you select the video, the YouTube mini player opens up to preview the video you selected.
Are you doing this on desktop or phone? On desktop are you logged into Chrome? On mobile do you have multiple accounts on the phone?

Thanks @PaulPavlinovich and my apologies, I thought tagging any moderator only in an important topic was the standard. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
I have one email account for all my logins. I was logged in on Chrome on my MacBook Pro. If you see the image in my post you’ll see I’m already logged in on the top right corner but I’m still asked to sign in.

That is unusual @LeeBee-SA the sites share what is called an “authentication token” - how long has it been since you logged out of Google and rebooted the computer? If you stay logged in for a very long time its possible for the tokens to get out of sync then issues like this can occur.

I’ve recently cleared the cache and double-checked my settings as this has been ongoing.
With the import issue for YouTube I ended up uploading manually as no matter which options I chose I still wasn’t recognised as being logged on and with Maps I mostly just contribute via my phone now because it’s the same issue via desktop
